So producers encountered a slight problem when casting Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum – his tall frame. Normally this is nothing to think about but because they had a vision of Magnum driving around in a Porsche, Selleck’s height meant he wouldn’t fit in such a hot ride. District officials went on to claim that Selleck obtained the water from a hydrant over 12 times in two years and that they had sued once a cease and desist order was ignored.
