George Wendt may have been kicked out of university, but thank goodness he didn’t go and do a fashion course – he went into acting! Getting his start in show business sweeping the floor, he quickly moved onto appearances on MASH and Taxi. Originally meant to be a bit part, Norm was so loved by audiences that the show’s producers wrote him in a main character – and he was on every single episode of the show from then on.
